Stick ‘em Up - a SHN vs. Storvo vs. Studio Sopa Collab
From the time I was going commercially and artistically as Studio Sopa, this is a collaboration between my studio, the multidisciplinary art collective SHN and the streetwear brand Storvo that unfolded in a t-shirt, a site-specific exhibition and a skateboard deck.

The main idea was to portray a specific spot in downtown São Paulo where SHN glued a skull poster — one of their famous icons — to a telephone service box. I went to the spot to take a photo that would then become a t-shirt by the hands of graphic designer Renato Guidolin, the owner of Storvo.

exhibition
Later on, we were all invited to be part of the exhibition “Brand New Blood” with different artists at Cartel011, a famous lifestyle and street culture store and space in São Paulo.
In that exhibition, we would make a site-specific installation by recreating the downtown scene.
I went to the same spot downtown to re-photograph parts of the scene in order to recreate the background without the telephone box and the floor.
SHN created the telephone box in plywood where they glued several of their trident posters and some Storvo illustrations. Then added glue tubes, a bucket, paintbrushes and paint rollers beside it.

The last development of this partnership was being part of Nineclouds family of skateboard decks. In a partnership with Storvo, they recreated some of the original streetwear prints, including the “Stick ‘Em Up” collaboration with my studio and SHN.
